When you are worried about the air inside your home, the last
thing you need is someone turning your concern into a bigger
project.
Everything we do starts with understanding what's really happening
in your home or building. Independent testing gives us that
answer.
Our work is built around clear evidence, independent analysis, and
honest interpretation, so you can understand what is happening
without being pushed toward a service you may not need.
That separation matters. It means the answer you get is based on
your home or business, your samples, and your lab results, not on
a company looking for a remediation job.
Whether your worry is mold or the wider air your family breathes,
our professional indoor air quality testing leaves you with clear findings, honest guidance, and room to decide
your next step without pressure.
Mold growth does not give you much warning. It spreads in the places
you cannot check, long before a stain, a smell, or a symptom gives it
away. By the time you notice, the problem has often been building for
a while.
These are the moments when indoor air quality testing can help you understand what is happening inside the place you live.
You feel better the moment you step outside and worse the moment you come back. It is a tiredness no one at home has shaken since the rains started, and it never quite lifts. Fatigue, brain fog, coughs without a fever are the common symptoms to look out for.
The AC turns on, and the same stale smell reaches your living room, bedroom, or kitchen. In a home, the duct system can carry dust and odors through every room your family spends time in.
A flood, a slow drip, or a remediation job that wrapped up fast leaves a doubt that lingers. Testing confirms whether the problem has cleared or whether something still lives inside the wall.
The fire passed, but the smoke stayed behind. Ash settles into attics and ductwork, and a house that looks clean can keep cycling it back into the air for months on end.
A property is a big investment, and the disclosure form may not tell the whole story. Pre-purchase and in-escrow testing puts data behind the decision so no one moves forward in the dark.
The remediation work is finished, but the question still lingers. You need to know whether the area is actually clear before you close the project and move on.
Not every warning is obvious, and some show up in how you feel before they ever show up on a wall. Learning the warning signs of mold toxicity can help you tell an ordinary off day from something worth testing.
Some concerns start with a smell. Others start after a leak, a renovation, a remediation job, or weeks of wondering why the air inside your home does not feel right. Advanced Clean Air Solutions provides independent mold inspection and indoor air quality testing for homes, businesses, and properties across Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Our work is designed to help you understand what is happening indoors before you make your next decision.
Mold testing gives shape to what is often invisible. It looks beyond surface-level signs and helps identify whether mold spores are present and how indoor levels compare to the surrounding environment.
Indoor air quality testing looks at the air people live and work in every day. It can help evaluate particles, irritants, contaminants, and other air quality indicators that may affect how a space feels.
Moisture mapping brings hidden water patterns into view. It helps document where moisture is present, how far it may have spread, and which areas may need closer attention.
Air duct cleaning covers every HVAC component that moves air through your home or building. A spinning brush and HEPA vacuum work in tandem, capturing debris the moment it loosens.
Post-remediation verification gives the finished remediation work an independent review. It helps confirm whether the area meets the expected conditions after cleanup and gives property owners documentation they can rely on.
For properties requiring an ultra-deep diagnostic approach, we offer specialized advanced testing services designed to uncover hidden environmental stressors.
Standard inspections don't always tell the full story, especially when unexplained health concerns are at play.
By utilizing cutting-edge laboratory analyses and specialized structural sampling, we provide the highly detailed, granular data needed to identify specific microbial footprints and ensure the safety of your home's occupants.
We leverage ERMI, HERTSMI, EMMA, and Endotoxin testing capabilities to pinpoint the exact species of mold or bacteria present in your home.
We strictly adhere to NORMI Professional Practices for medically compromised individuals, ensuring an elevated standard of care in highly sensitive environments.
We perform precise wall-cavity air and surface sampling to detect hidden growth or moisture issues trapped out of sight behind your drywall or plaster.
They have been incredibly helpful in our project to fix our indoor mold problem. I've had to deal with mold a few times over the years at different locations, and having worked with multiple inspectors, remediation, etc. I can say with confidence they are the best for the job. They are honest, reliable, and truly care about people. I'm very happy to recommend them.
They were wonderful, caring people that truly care about people's health and well-being. They also went the extra mile to help a friend's grandmother after the LA fires who is extremely elderly, disabled and needing clean air in her house ASAP! They have been extremely helpful in answering questions even after their job was done! I highly recommend using them to anyone!
They were superb. Super easy to contact and schedule as well as work through the remediation. Having a service provider as knowledgeable and resourceful as ACAS was a life saver. You need to work with someone who's trustworthy and thorough to make sure it's resolved completely. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality, reliable, responsive service provider!
Had a great experience with Advanced Clean Air Solutions. They were super professional and patient, taking their time to explain the lab results and the mitigation process in a way that was easy to understand. I really liked that they used science-based testing and were focused on helping and educating about the mold and its mitigation. Honest, thorough, and highly recommended!
This work happens inside the most personal place in someone’s life. That means the way an inspection is handled matters just as much as the results themselves. Meg and Sid built Advanced Clean Air Solutions around that standard. Every inspection is handled with care, patience, and respect for what brought you there. Your concerns deserve to be taken seriously, your results deserve to be explained clearly, and your home deserves more than a rushed opinion.

CEO and Landscape Architect
“When someone calls about mold, I know there is usually a lot behind that call. They may have noticed moisture, or a smell, or something that just does not feel right in the house. My background helps me look beyond one obvious spot and think about the whole home. What I care about most is giving people an answer that is careful, honest, and useful.”

President and Lead Inspector
“Every inspector on our team is fully certified for residential and commercial mold testing. I trained each of them to walk into a property the way I would want someone to walk into mine. We listen first, inspect thoroughly, and then walk you through the results step by step. Whatever we find, we explain it plainly so you leave with real clarity.”

Maybe it started with a smell, a leak, a room that feels different, or a concern you have not been able to shake. Start there. Tell us what you have noticed, what has changed, and what you are hoping to understand.

Yes. Mold often grows behind walls, under flooring, or inside HVAC systems, where a visual check can't reach it. If you have musty smells, allergy symptoms that ease when you leave the house, or a history of water damage and leaks, air sampling can detect elevated spore levels even when nothing is visible.
Mold spores exist in every home, so a positive result on a DIY kit doesn't tell you much. The kits can't measure concentration, identify species, or compare your indoor levels against an outdoor baseline. A professional report does all three, which is how you learn whether your levels are normal or elevated.
Your report explains the condition of the property and whether the findings support further action. It identifies the types and concentrations of mold found, compares indoor samples to outdoor baseline samples, and puts the results into context during your Virtual Results Review. Based on the inspection and testing, we'll explain whether the findings suggest that remediation should be considered, additional investigation is warranted, or no further action is recommended. If remediation is appropriate, the remediation contractor is responsible for determining the scope of work. Because we're independent inspectors, not remediators, you can trust that our recommendations are based on the evidence, not on selling remediation services.
No demolition, no torn drywall. Our certified mold inspectors collect air samples from the rooms where you have concerns and take surface swabs from visible problem areas, if needed. We use moisture meters and thermal imaging to spot check in order to find hidden patterns without opening walls. The whole inspection runs about 60-90 minutes and leaves your home undisturbed.
Every professional brings a different perspective. Our focus is testing, assessment, and building science, not remediation. Because we don't perform cleanup, our role is simply to provide an independent evaluation of your property and recommendations based on the evidence. If remediation is warranted, we'll explain why and help you make an informed decision about the next steps.
